Campertrip. Final day.

Hans had found us a great place for the night! It was a camperspot along the big river Rein!
This morning we decided to take it easy, have beakfast and let the kids play a little before driving towards Switzerland! The kids were so happy with our decision because they had discovered these great puddles that were left after the rainfall during the night! But after a lot of playing it was time to go. On our way home we made one more stop at the Zoo of Basel! This was great! It's a beautiful old zoo right in the middle of that city. But after walking around for a few hours it was really time to go home :(

Campertrip, day two, kids days!

The second day was kids day! We found this cute amusementpark for kids! They had animals, rides, games, show ..., well enough to fill an entire day! I was happy to find out that Melanie loves
to go on roller coasters as much a mommy does!

Our camper trip! Day one!

Last saturday we got our camper ready and went on our way to Germany! Main reason was to get Daddy his new toy, a mini excavator! We found this beautiful picnick place where Hans could test it. Now Martin was very happy with daddy's new toy as well and couldn't wait to help daddy try out all the functions! Melanie was having fun playing in the little forrest and in the field near by!

Mellie's Kindergarten

Times go so fast, before we knew it, it was time for Melanie to go to Kindergarten!

I had no idea how that first morning would go. Mellie is always a little shy! But she was so brave, no tears and ready to go! I love how she comes home these last few days telling all about her new adventures!
One of her big adventures was when a policeman came to the school to teach the kids about how to walk home safely and took them on a long walk!

Ballenberg

I love to go the open-air museum Ballenberg. It's about a 45 min drive from our home. That why I like to try to go there at least once every year. It doesn't feel like you are walking through a museum, it's more like a beautiful town and I am not kidding about it being beautiful! Every where you walk and every corner you turn there is a georgous new scenery.

My kids love it aswell. With all the many farm animals around, houses they may enter, things to play with, icecream, ... they never have a dull moment.

At the end of the day, when we were going towards the exit, Mellie and Martin saw the coach with horses. They were so excited that we decided to go on a coachride through the park! It took about half an hour but the kids thought that it was still to short! They would have love it to go on forever. Back at the coachstation, Mellie and Martin said their goodbye 's to the horses and to Ballenberg. Needless to say that the evening it was pretty quiet in our home. The kids where probably dreaming about their beautiful day.

Gampelen

This weekend we made a campertrip to Gampelen. I always love to go there because it's such a perfect place for the kids. On this camping they most importantly have their cousins to play with and there is so much to do for small kids like, a playground, small pool, a great lake where they can swim or ride a boat, kids disco at night, and the list goes on and on....
Hopefully when the weather is nice we'll be able to go again next weekend.
